A course designed for when you first get your puppies, at ages 8-15 weeks. In this course, you will learn how to engage and set boundaries with your puppy.

During the course over 5 weeks, the owner will learn about:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You will have access to material on all the things you will need to know as a new puppy owner, including toilet training, socialisation, mouthing/biting, puppies and children, nutrition and enrichment. 

This course is not just solely focused on obedience and skills being drilled. It is about setting your puppy up for life, with tools for them to use as well as setting boundaries. Things your puppy will learn over the course of the 5 weeks are:

  • Calm, Watch

  • Name recognition

  • Sit, Down/Drop, Stay

  • Mat placing, Come

  • Loose lead walking, Leave it or 'mine'

  • Calmness and confidence through the 'Desensitisation playground'.

  • Teething releases

 

At the end of class, if the owners are happy to, there will be supervised puppy time. Your instructor will choose puppies with appropriate weights and personalities to play with each other.

Requirements to book this course:

  • First C3 vaccination

  • A puppy between the ages of 8-15 weeks. Cut off age for large breeds is 14 weeks due to size.

  • Payment in full must be made to secure a booking, 50% non-refundable if you cancel within 72 hours of your class commencing.

Please Read

  • Classes are a maximum of 5 dogs- a minimum of 3 dogs booked in to commence class

  • Each dog is allowed a maximum of two owners to attend to minimise distraction and noise between a family. The minimum age for a child is 10 years old and must be accompanied by an adult

  • Your first class is theory-based- this is compulsory to start the course. NO DOGS ATTEND

  • There is no refund or 'make-up class' if you miss one. To pass this course you must attend 3/5 classes

  • Each dog that passes will receive a certificate of completion.

Crackin
Teens

This course is for puppies aged 15 weeks- 7months, for those owners that have already done some basic training at home and need to do it in a structured class with distraction. This class is a great stepping stone to go into obedience classes. 

This class is similar to Puppy School, just targeted at a different age with some minor tweaks, things your pup will learn:

 

  • Calm, Watch

  • Sit, Down/Drop, Stay

  • Mat placing, Come

  • Loose lead walking, Leave it or 'mine' and drop it

  • Distraction training towards the end of the course

  • Engagement games

You will have access to material on all the things you will need to know as a new puppy owner, including toilet training, socialisation, mouthing/biting, puppies and children, nutrition and enrichment. 

There will not be puppy play in this course.

  • C5 vaccination

  • A puppy between the ages of 15 weeks and 7 months.
